The Dwight School has had the pleasure of using The Good School as an after-school service provider. The students are full engaged in the animation program and it is a testament to the teachers at The Good School that those same students have continued with the program for the past two years. I am amazed by the professional film production that the students showcase at the end of a session. I cannot believe these students are only 9-11 years old.
The Parrish Art Museum has had the wonderful opportunity to present The Good School for both family events and week-long camps over the last year. Laura Bellmont and Emily Brink’s expertise and great knowledge of their work combined with their enthusiasm, patience, and kindness has provided for wonderful learning experiences for children and families.
I have been presenting workshops on behalf of the Museum for over fifteen years. I can honestly say, without hesitation, that Laura and Emily are two of the most professional and pleasant people to work with and their high quality instruction is engaging, enlivening, educational, and fun!
Working with The Good School is a delight. Their program is tremendously innovative and original and the kids love it. Seeing the students engaged in that kind of creative work is really inspiring. The Good School is flexible, responsive and has the highest integrity for their program and the students they serve.
Springs School students filled a long waiting list for each visit from the Good School, and they are begging for a return trip. They call Laura and Emily the “good fairies” who flew into the school and created stop motion magic. Students of diverse abilities speaking different languages were all able to access the system and create short clips of animation. Our large animation program in a small public school has continued to thrive since their two visits.
